Re: Living under the Plume. - Living in the Netherlands from 1940 till 1966 in a city called The Hague, a sedate and proper government town, and smack in between Amsterdam and Rotterdam, we were experiencing the plume mostly invisible but still smelly coming from Rotterdam's Pernis and IJmuiden's Hoogovens, now called Tata Steel, causing head aches depending on the wind direction and god knows what else, a situation not so different from our Hamilton area, and linked to many other industrialized cities on the planet. Thank you for this incredible article which should be part of our school curriculum.
